I did a morning hike with San yesterday, walking up the steep Wan Chai Gap to Stubbs Road, then a leisurely stroll to the Aberdeen Country Trail, passing both Aberdeen lower and upper reservoir and finished it off with a local breakfast of Congee and cheong fun at the Aberdeen town Centre. One of the more challanging hikes in Hong Kong is this Pat Sin Leng (八仙嶺）which literally means "Ridge of the Eight Immortals".  Traversing eight mountain peaks each named after a different Immortal in ancient Chinese mythology （八仙过海）, it is a hike on storied soil.  Since late last year, especially after Aie Li conquered this hike together with the ( Read more... )

Today was the perfect weather for hiking, cool and clear!  We met at 8:45 a.m. and reached the starting point of the trail around 9:30 a.m.

The starting point is the junction of Clearwater Bay and Sheung Sze Wan Road.

I went up to the Bowen trail this morning with San and Thelmis. After over a year in Bamboo Grove, I had never walked the whole Bowen Trail as I always walked all the way up to Stubbs Road. When we reached Bowen Road (寶雲道), Thelmis decided that we turned left and check out Lover's Rock.

I did an easy walk today with YB and SP from the Peak to HKU.  We took no 15 outside Hopewell Building and made our way to the Peak.  We started the circular walk from Lugard Road all the way till the intersection of Harlech and Hatton Road.  This was when we took Hatton Road and followed the direction of Pinewood Battery.

I went back to Lei Yue Mun again to explore the trail from Devil's Peak to Lam Tin. This time I went with two of my friends and had the good fortune of being dropped off somewhere at 32 Kai Chiu Road which is the start of the upward slope walk towards Devil's Peak.
